Openet has completed implementation of ICT infrastructure at Galaxy Resources' Jiangsu Lithium Carbonate plant in Zhangjiagang, China.
The Jiangsu Lithium Carbonate plant is the first fully automated Lithium Carbonate plant in China, producing battery grade Lithium Carbonate for the Lithium battery market. The plant is fed with spodumene produced at Galaxy's Mt Cattlin project located at Ravensthorpe, Western Australia.
Openet was intimately involved in the project from attending the groundbreaking ceremony in February 2010 to participating in the business readiness programme and development of the ICT budget through to detailed design & specification, management of procurement and finally technical implementation services.

Members of the Openet team performed several trips to China during the project to oversee ICT infrastructure installation, commission communications services, complete server builds, assist with recruitment of a local technical resource and provide training to Galaxy staff.
