VDI Reduces Support Costs

Openet's fees for Comprehensive Operational Support Services (COSS) are based upon the size of a client, with key metrics being the number of user accounts, computers and servers being supported. With the increasing take up of private cloud solutions using desktop virtualisation, Openet has revised the standard schedule of fees for COSS and split the computers fee into two - physical computers and virtual desktops.

The fee structure for virtual desktops reflects a cost reduction of approximately 10% compared to that of physical computers and is based on the reduced effort required to support a virtual desktop fleet.

The revised fee structure will apply to existing clients upon renewal of their COSS agreement.
